UTILITIES
ELECTRIC
You should register with a provider for electric on your first day. Most of the apartments are with EON, however, the previous tenant will have closed their account and it will be normal for you to have a letter from the provider waiting for you when you arrive addressed to THE OCCUPIER. This will help you open your own account. If you do not have this, you can contact management to provide the information you need. Your Inventory should also have an electric reading taken on the day you moved in. If you do not have this, contact management.
Regular readings are taken of the entire building, twice a year, you may request these readings for your apartment only to compare usage. Any unpaid bills can be deducted from your deposit upon exit.
WATER
The water provider is ANGLIAN WATER and you will have 2 sets of water entering your apartment, hot and cold. You should have a letter addressed to THE OCCUPIER from Anglian Water when you arrive, however, if you do not receive anything from them within the first 7 days, we recommend that you contact them. Any unpaid bills can be deducted from your deposit upon exit.
COUNCIL TAX
Your council tax is with NORWICH CITY COUNCIL and you can contact them to find out if you are eligable to pay council tax. Any unpaid council tax upon exit can be deducted from your deposit.
GAS
Your rent includes the cost of heating water which is gas heated. This is heated communally and distributed throughout the building, this means you do not have a boiler of any type in your apartment. You will pay for the hot water when it enters your apartment.
