IMPERIAL HOUSE
ENTRANCE
a tenants guide
When entering your apartment, please always ensure that you lock it securely behind you. You have a 'spyhole' in your door to see any visitors and we strongly recommend that you use it then whenever answering your door - for your safety, never answer the door to someone you do not know or are not expecting.
Please remember, your door is your responsibility - this includes the cleaning of it, both inside and outside.
Please provide full name and flat number when reporting any issues.
ENTRANCE
VIDEX
The viacom entrance unit is for your safety as well as ease of use. When you answer, you will see video of the entrance allowing you to identify your visitor. Please do not allow entrance to visitors you do not know or for other apartments - they could be using false information for criminal activities.
FUSE BOX
The fuse box for the apartment is located above the front door. The fuse box is only for the tenants 'inspection' purposes. Should an item in your apartment blow a fuse, you are permitted to re-engage the fuse in the first instance only. However, should the item blow a fuse for the second time, then the item should not be turned on and you should report it to management immediately.
WATER METERS
Your water is supplied by Anglian Water and you will pay your bills directly to them. Your apartment has two pipes entering, cold inlet and hot inlet, with the access hatch in the ceiling in front of the door. Should you experience a water leak, water can be turned off from these hatches. However, as the meters are 'smart meters', they are not all easily viewable. Anglian Water take regular readings twice a year, however, you can contact them to arrange additional readings - such as when you arrive or when you leave - you will need to give them 7 days notice.
